Chatroulette: Extreme social networking site connects random strangers via webcams

On Friday, March 5, Big 3 News tested Chatroulette in a social experiment as part of our live news broadcast. We activated our webcam from Studio 3 and displayed our "partners" webcam images on the show with the use of picture-in-picture technology. For each stranger we encountered, we announced who we were, what we were doing, and asked them random questions such as what they thought of Chatroulette. In some instances, we conducted extended interviews with people about current issues of the day such as politics, healthcare, the earthquake in Chile, and the gaming world. WHAT SAY YOU? 3 things MUSICIANS are doing WRONG with social networking.

Sorry about the length, but this is probably the longest video im probably ever going to post on youtube so dont grow accustomed to this. 3 BIG things where people go wrong with promoting your music with social networking. 1. Get back on myspace, because thats where the music is. Facebook can help you gain local fans, but when it comes to grabbing the attention from a&rs, good luck with that. 2. Most people are ready, and just because you have a song out doesnt mean your ready for a label to back you. Make sure your KNOWN, not just in your neighborhood, but in popular states as well. 3. Learn how to talk to people. Talking to your friends is different from talking to someone of higher status. Develop that off and on switch.

Your current customers are more likely than total strangers to respond to offers posted on social networks because they already know you and trust you based on their prior purchases.
