Twitter’s move to delay upgrade work after the disputed Iranian election was not a response to a US State Department request, co-founder Evan Williams says. He told BBC Two’s Newsnight that maintenance had been postponed until Iran’s night time to continue to allow “the open exchange of information”. “We did it because… it was the best thing for supporting the information flow at a crucial time,” he said. Twitter was widely used by Iranians to co-ordinate demonstrations in June.

Yahoo! has launched a new online note-taking application called Search Pad . The application allows users to organize and save web pages and other information they find on Yahoo! Search engine while researching information online. It will automatically save search results when it notices the user is doing research, which should make it easier for people to come back to a project on subsequent days to do more work. It helps you collect, edit, organize, save, print, and email your notes for immediate or future use.

A couple of weeks ago I was feeling a strong sense of panic. With not much more than three weeks left to finish my professional coaching program at Adler, I was way behind where I should have been.
